Virtual Business
I was not a successful business owner, because I never made a profit in a season. The primary purpose in playing this simulation was learning about running a business. The two main reasons for not making money were fines and spending too much on advertising. Each season I was successful in licensing, so that was what I did best. My biggest weakness was my inability to make a profit with my franchise. As my team's record improved, I slightly increased the ticket prices for my home games. I used market research to find out which city was most dedicated to football, and to find out the level of awareness of football within the city. The infrastructure of my city hurt my franchise because some of the lots were too far away from the stadium for fans to be on time. Asking questions about dedication and ticket spending is important because starting a franchise in a city with low dedication and low willingness to spend is not a good start to your business. I would like to receive the team jacket if I went to a game.

Sports Talk Shows Magazine
My Sports Talk Shows Magazine features ten sports talk shows. The majority of the featured shows are shown on ESPN, but there are a few exceptions such as SportsNet Central. The target market of my magazine are sports fans in between the ages of 10 and 60. A lot of people love sports so the age range of my target market is pretty wide.

Blog #5
Overall, I think my group did well. Liam was a good group leader, and everyone worked well together. I think the final product was solid, and I am looking forward to presenting it on Monday. I feel like I contributed equally to everyone else. Making decisions was easy under direction from Liam.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday
I think Black Friday is a good opportunity to go discount hunting, and who doesn't love themselves a good discount? However, I feel like people are a little dangerous on Black Friday, and people can get hurt. I think Cyber Monday is better than Black Friday, because no one can get hurt like they can on Black Friday. Black Friday adds to the excitement of Thanksgiving, because most people go at midnight which is fun.

Promoting My Drink
There are many ways I could create a promotional mix for The Tiger's Tonic. First, I could hand out buy one, get one free coupons at the Tigers' home football games. Also, I could have raffles for coupons at halftime of the LSU home sports games. Finally, I could hand out free samples around campus.
Many types of print media can be used to promote The Tiger's Tonic. First, I could post a billboard for the drink on Louisiana Highway 30, the main highway near LSU. Also, I could buy an ad for The Tiger's Tonic in The Advocate, the local newspaper in Baton Rouge. Finally, I could post signs in Tiger Stadium so all fans that watch and attend the games can see the signs.
I priced my drink at $1.50. There wasn't really a strategy to it, but a customer is getting great quality for a reasonable price. Average single bottles of water are typically $1.25, so a 25 cent increase in price brings a delicious flavor. The 32 oz version costs $2.00, so the size is being doubled for only 50 cents. I feel that this price is extremely good, so I doubt anyone would refuse to buy The Tiger's Tonic because it costs too much.

Louisiana State University Sports Drink Project
The name of my sports drink is "The Tiger's Tonic." My college is Louisiana State University, and the slogan of my drink is "Show Your Stripes."
Three Things I Liked
I liked being able to pick which college my project was about.
I liked the artistic aspect of the project.
I liked researching LSU because I learned some things about the history and culture of the school.
Two Things I Learned
I learned that six different tigers have been the mascot of LSU.
I learned how to write a marketing mix report.
One Thing I Disliked
I disliked not being able to research the same college as anyone else.
