Advertisements for 1st Talking Movie

In 1927, the first talking movie was released at the Blue Mouse Theater in Seattle, Washington.  This movie is called The Jazz Singer, directed by Alan Crosland.  This time period was mainly advertised via newspaper ads in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.  This film changed movies forever.

All About Me

Introduction

Hi, my name is David Oliver and I'm a sophomore in high school.  My family, friends, and sports are the most important parts of my life.  Even though I don't like movies and books too much, that doesn't mean that I don't have favorites.  My favorite movie is The Sixth Sense, while my favorite book is Holes.  Currently I'm interested in the field of business, so I plan on taking several business classes throughout high school, including the Sports and Entertainment Marketing class I'm taking now.  This blog will be about the world of sports today.
